I bought this strap for my Eterna 1948 and it’s a better quality item than the manufacturer’s depolyant strap that came with the watch. I particularly like the buckle, and the superior spring bars which can be manipulated with a fingernail through cut-outs in the leather.
Thanks for the nice review Craig, enjoy!
I was in need of a good strap after getting a Hamilton Khaki King II on bracelet and finding the bracelet too heavy. This was going to be a costly mistake as the OEM strap was $140. I tried a few other options, but they all felt cheap. Took a chance on a Sydney strap co watch and for $35 after discount I had an incredible strap that matched the quality of some of my other OEM Swiss straps. Very pleasantly surprised. Only issue was a tiny imperfection in the leather, an indentation from spring bars poking the strap. Would suggest better wrapping of this in the future when shipping to avoid.
I quite like this strap on my black dialed chronograph watch. The leather feels comfortable and has not immediately creased up, so seems reasonable in that regard. Stitching looks good. It was a tiny bit stiff initially, however I rolled it around my finger and that set the curve quite nicely.
